  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Wooden Camera aks

Ryan is the man! Great equipment, great service, prompt delivery. What more can you ask for?

Still would like to see the slam dunk no-brainer mount for the bomb viewfinder, so far each (I've seen) have pluses and minuses.

I've been working on a version that mounts the EVF where ever you want, light weight, and solid enough to lean on (I tend to use the eye cup as a point of balance.) One more part to machine. Pix first week of Jan. If people like it, I've written to Ryan about duplication.

Silly question, but is 'aks' an acronym or slang for accessories? Either way, Ryan is awesome to deal with and I always find myself checking his site first when looking for add-on's. Keep up the great work!
Hahaha, AKS (All Kinds of Shit)

I'm also in for a a lot of accesories, some on delivery, others to be placed soon...

BTW, please design a flip up viewfinder/loupe for the 5" Touchscreen! There are many of us without the cash for an EVF

I was walking a soon to be Scarlet owner through all the third party permutations and solutions, then stopped myself and just told them buy everything from wooden camera. Best 3rd party selection, VERY fast order fufillment, reasonable prices, well made stuff. One stop shop. That said, I have fmj and the API from viewfactor which are also great. Great to see these small shops knocking it out of the park.

Thought of it, but I already ordered the 5 inch Touch screen with the combo package. Then it would mean another $749. A snap on solution shouldn't be that bulky, and also that expensive....anyway, just a thought considering there will be thousands of potential customers, all of them checking Wooden Camera aks

I've had the Red top plate on backorder for two months because it has a few more 1/4" 20 holes on the front and back than the Wooden Camera version, but the thought of receiving my order this week is definitely tempting me. I have the Wooden Camera A-Box and the build quality is awesome.

Julio, I ordered a RED tactical top plate within minutes of it going on the store and I got it last week finally....things are moving very slowly on the RED front... :-/ Needless to say we needed another top mount for our other epics and we ordered those from wooden camera and got them within a few days and they are just as good as the RED one..I'm still waiting on the modular assault plate ordered over 3 months ago.... I try not to buy RED made AKS anymore as I can't deal with constant uncertainty! I just wish other third parties were making more DMSC Quick release compatible products so we didn't have to wait on RED....

Just order the easy right thing to get a couple more holes on any of the four sides of the plate?

Just ordered from them yesterday, somehow they managed to process and ship in 2 hours. crazy! keep up the good work

I wonder if the RED "Tactical Ribs" will work with the Wooden Cam Top Plate?

Has anyone ordered/received the RED ribs yet?

Have not received the ribs yet...because guess what?...they are in back order.... Lol.... (big surprise!)

WC needs to put out a handle with a NATO Rail as it's top. I find no solution without stacking them and it makes total sense. Right now, without the handle, I end up holding the left side of the camera by the Nato Rail with our LCD on a Noga on top of that. It'd be awesome if I had a handle off the bottom of that NATO Rail. Again, seems to make sense as a product. Thoughts?
