Wireless HD kits available from OptiTek

Hi Jacek,
Just curious. Have you augmented the Asus wicast in any way? or is it essentially the same unit?
Also what are the resolutions and make or company of the monitors. Mainly the transflective ones...
Also the brightnesses of the monitors?
Could you post some pictures of the transflective monitors in bright sunlight? I ask because
I have the transflective marshall and It would be nice to know how well the monitors fair in bright light comparatively.
Thanks, Joshua

The monitors are 800x480 for the 7" and 1024x600 for the 10"
Brightness is dependent upon the ambient light- the more the brighter. since it's transflective there is no need for more power to back light the panel- the ambient light is utilized to do that. As for the "core" monitor source let it be my little secret(for now):Angel_anim:

Jacek, I sent you an email and a PM....please look

Hi Jacek,
What about the actual unit? Has it been altered to extend the 33 foot range some how? Or is it the same unit?
It would be nice to see some comparison pictures of the transflective screens... I have a lot of experience with using them. ( Steadicam)
Cheers, Joshua

It's a professional device for professional use, I said that already:wink5:
It does go to 120' or so line of sight....
I'll try to take some pix of two monitors lined up one with and one without sunlight upgrade.

Hey Jacek,
Please check your PM

Cheers

pix coming

pix coming

TX- two cables- one from D tap for power and one super short HDMI for video
RX-Three cables- one to power the receiver, one to power the monitor, and one short HDMI for display.
Pix coming tomorrow- I need daylight to do comparison between the normal and sunlight monitors in broad sun..

I took pictures today- broad daylight, same image off a video splitter
The 10" pic has a flash lamp to simulate what sun does to the standard panel and enhanced panel.
The 7" panels are just stocked to show the difference.
The 7" panel looks very good IMO but it's quite a bit smaller as well. Probably the main reason why it seems brighter.
For a typical monitoring application the need for shade has been eliminated.
These are the monitoring options we offer for receiver.
Please contact me at the email below- I'm allocating units for initial shipment.
Wireless kits will start shipping very soon!!!

Stay away from D-tap its an old school connector. Reverse polarity is the biggest concern.
I'm liking your monitors.

SDI is a must for me. I have a POV camera unit that I'd love to use with this setup.

have an SDI version and I know several people who will buy this right awaY :)

As others have said, it's a industry standard connection. HDMI has flakey connectors, (are flakey cables in general) have too many variety of standards and closes you down for business for different camera systems that don't have a hdmi out, and it forces people to resort to converter boxes (which may add delay in the signal...)

splitting, genlock, all that stuff requires SDI tools. if you could figure out how to put both hdmi and sdi in a single unit that would be ideal. an all in one unit for every situation.

how about redusers coming together for SDI units?
Please email me if you'd purchase and(possibly) what premium would be acceptable to you.
In the Red spirit a little research study if you will..
not here just pm or direct email please...:emote_hippie:

feedback compilation.

feedback compilation.

Seems that everyone has some ideas about custom application. Please keep them coming. I will compile and update the setup continously for maximum flexibility.
Thanks again for your support!!!!!!!

Do you have 720p (or more highrez obviously) monitor available ? Or can you make it compatible with smallhd like monitors ?

Being wireless with one RX only, it's a dead end monitor, so sdi or hdmi, I don't mind...

So far I have available 7" 800x480 and 10" 1000x600.
I think with small screens these resolutions are fine. you'd be hard pressed to tell higher resolution panel if both had same processing and same noise and contrast ratio. These are the things you see first. Resolution on the screen takes the longest to analize. For small panels under 10" that is...
Having said that I am looking into a small light weight 1280x720 5.6" screen with a simple HDMI controller. I promised myself not to get into monitor business so many times. But this one is too tempting- especially with the HD wireless.
I attached pics of my 7" and 10" standard/sunbright comparison.
Another advantage is that they are so light and ideal for hand-held.
I made ruggedized monitors before and it's hard to keep the weight down.
Especially here now that Red spoiled everybody with their dedicated paper thin and feather weight screens and pro connectors. Now everone wants that from monitor manufacturers....

R u shipping these tx and rx with batts yet? I dont need the monitor. thanks
Hi Jason,
We are finalizing the "devil in the details" and are a few days from shipping.
please contact me at the email below so in the mean time we can work out the details of your specific setup as well. the cable connectors, the voltage, etc. is specific for my monitors but popular enough(12V) to work with most other brands-given the right connectors. the mounting is another issue. I have some feedback already and will help you with that.:thumbup1:

Thanks Jacek.

Actually, it would be my personnal main monitor for focusing when I've got handeld, steadicam or crane shot, so nobody bothers me.
As I already see the pixels and aliasing in the Red Lcd which is 720p. Rez matters a lot to me, because I don't care about pretty much anything else but my marks and the rez when rec is on :)

A 10" HD panel would be really really great, but for directors or dp. 5.6" is just fine for me humble AC, what's why I quote the smallhd lcd's.
