Does anyone know if Pl Mount Super 16mm Lenses will Cover 3k in the Pl mount scarlett?

It depends on the lens. When I first got my Red (and before I had PL lens) I used some Schneider primes from my Arri-s. They required an adapter but I was pleasantly surprised. The 50mm not only covered the 2k. It covered the 4k as well. The other primes and zoom did not. Can't comment on 3k. don't believe it was available during the early builds.

He's asking about the 2/3" scarlet I believe, and the s16 image circle covers it handily.

Thanks for the help. I am downgrading to Scarlett and selling my Red One and Ziess Glass. Check the Selling thread if anyone is interested.

I am interested, but not familiar with any "selling thread" on this forum. Would you please tell me how to access that information?

Thanks.

I haven't found it anywhere (probably looking in all the wrong places - I'm good at that), but does anyone have the actual dimensions of the Scarlet's Chip? Just so everyone can compare apples to apples in evaluating if their lenses will work on the wide end?

For 2/3" the originally announced size (no longer posted) was 10.1mm x 5.35mm max resolution of 3072 x 1620 in 2k digital cinema format 1.89:1 ratio. There have been no official announcements about size since then. Jim recently posted that the pixel size is 3.3 microns. See the link in post #6 above for how this works out for the original specs for lens coverage compared to 2/3" and 16mm reference circles.
This is as close as we can guess until final specs are released, but makes sense for 3.3 micron pixel being close to the optimum size for 3k resolution for the format. I expect the physical size is a bit larger as there is always a small border of unused pixels on a sensor.
