I'm dying to know how to use this with Avid HD. It seems like the greatest thing since sliced bread. But how will it work with the Avid?

Of course it'll work! Once you've brought your footage into REDCINE [to "process" the RAW data], you can export to any NLE you'd like.

Think of RAW workflow like you would a film project.

REDCine software is your telecine suite. You could export an Avid compatible codec in HD, edit and then later conform the 4k footage. Or just output a nice clean HD master straight from Avid into your finishing software.

It's like the versatility of digital combined with almost the resolution of film.
