UPDATE: Re-edited the piece with new material, its now essentially a whole new work.

Hello All,

Haven't posted anything from quite some time so thought to share a little piece shot on Infrared Dragon. Having worked with Infrared for some time since my modified Epic MX, I find the Dragon's performance in those wave lenghts quite outstanding in terms of latitude and sharpness... Thanks to John Marchant at Kippertie for the OLPF.

sorry for Vimeo compression.. as usual far from the original file! Hope you like!

Beautiful, Ivan. I have the same OLPF. Are you using a 720nm infrared filter?

Love this. This kind of imagery was the driving force for developing that OLPF, even though it's main commercial reason for being is IR illuminated night shooting.

Black skies and glitteringly sharp natural landscapes. Perfect :)

John, you did an amazing job and thanks to people like you and the Red team we have an opportunity to come even closer to our dreams. Impatient to see what will come next...

Watching this again, it's good stuff Ivan.

Ok, this convinced me. I want one of those OLPFs as soon as i have my Dragon. Beautiful images, thanks for sharing. Great stuff.

Oh and IR-illuminated night-shooting sounds very interesting too. :)

Really some beautiful shots there. Makes me want to go out and experiment. And yes thank you John for creating the OLPF that allows this.....

May order one soon if I am sure it will fit the Weapon.

The glass will work and fit for sure... I need to follow up with RED on whether the smart encoded Weapon OLPF frame is a necessity or a luxury.
Either way we'll have an option for Weapon, and I would envisage that we could provide a cost effective swap-out of frame for existing owners if there's a required mechanical change for Weapon.

I've always loved IR photography. Would like to see it used more often.
