Wifi dongle upgrade

Hey y'alls

I heard rumour's that if you change the WIFI antenna to something with better range it improves the latency when using the app. Wondering if anyone on here has tried it and would recommend which one to get? I really do like using my phone / tablet but the lag is just un barrable and seems to have gotten worse over time.

A better antenna can't improve the latency (as the minimum delay), only avoid stuttering that might be caused by poor connection. It can indirectly improve latency if you are able to use 5 GHz instead of 2.4 when the connection with the small antenna isn't good enough for 5 GHz otherwise. I'm using these:

Does anyone know how to remove the current atenna? I keep turning it but it doesnt seem to want to budge...

Keep turning it, the upper black part can be turned infinitely
You probably need an 8 mm wrench for the bolt because the antenna sits quite tight out of factory.

I replaced the stock antenna and noticed reduced dropouts, improved range and a more stable connection. It’s a worthwhile upgrade.

Bigger Antenna = Better Range/Performance. Generally speaking.

Interestingly you can do long line WiFi extensions and go real nuts.

WiFi and various other wireless signals do get impacted by where you are. If you have congestion, frequency blockage, or any other sort of interference your results will vary. I've filmed in places where nothing wireless works because everything is blocked. And that is no fun.
