I'm having a fairly serious issue at the moment. When I turn on my RED after a period of inactivity (say 3-4hrs) the LCD display just shows a scrambled predominantly white image where the sensor image usually is.
The image it shows is made up of repeating short thin bands of color (white, red, green, blue) in small tiles (1/2" squares), which repeat as a tiled pattern across the whole sensor area of the LCD screen. But, the rest of the camera menus and HUID seem to work fine.
When the LCD is displaying the tiled pattern the camera gives ROCKETRIO errors when you press the record button, or when you try and play anything back from the drive.
I seem to be able to solve the issue by re-installing build 16 each time it happens. And the sensor then displays an image as normal again. The real problem is that the issue is happening 2-3 times a day.
I don't think it is a simple LCD issue, but I can't test it as I'm in the field on a shoot, and only have one LCD on me.
Has any one seen this issue before, and did they have a fix for it?
(I have contacted RED support but thought I'd try here too.)
EDIT: Image of screen attached.
