  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

why not saying the true delivery date?

As many stated here all ready, the dragon will probably be a bigger beast than what was the original plan. Jim is quite clear, it's all about sensors and it's all about DR, As it is right now our epics are, no matter what the alexa fans will say, a top shelf product. As long as that is the case there is no need for an upgrade. better then to wait a bit an make improvements and what we seen so far from the dragon snaps it will be quite amazing. So if it takes a few months more is not really hurting anyone. It makes it possible for all of us to make some more bank on our current epics. So I do not see the delayed dragon as a bad thing, even though I would very much like to have it yesterday :)

This is cutting edge technology, it's never been done before, problems arise all the time and must be solved. It's not like saying, "I'll take out the garbage in the morning".

Whoa Mark... check that diploma. It's not signed yet. I'd say you are still a work in progress. '-)
 
"being" with RED since R1 Mysterium -> you learn to be patient this way… I see it as a good thing in the meantime, and I leaned to deal with it :D When we got our first RED Camera there was like no Software (only Beta), with the EPIC there was no sound, there were no Accessories in diverse fields and so on… but the pictures speak for themselves since day one ;)
 
If nothing else from this thread, I'm just happy to learn that Phil has and is willing to wager a family pig. ;)
 
Does anyone have a list of when other NAB product announcements are made vs. a true delivery date? Heck, how about CES? Red is TOO transparent sometimes and that is why I love reading this crazy forum.
