Is there an other field recorder capable of recording at high speed? You can playback from camera and record to a pix when epic playback is available.

no, too complicated to carry the signal through HD-SDI,
recording the playback slows things down imho.
the PSU-3 can playback the hdsdi signal at the speed you want. you just dial in the speed you want before playback.

hate is a strong word, think of dislike
there are advantages and disadvantages on both systems and workflows.
well, with r3d files, if you have a rocket, your life is easy!

Isn't hate a bit too strong of a feeling (blinding even)? They are both great tools, and once you figure out whats the "correct" workflow for you its all smooth sailing.
Embrace it. Think of it this way, you can broaden the ammount of clients you can approach for post services, and maybe even learn something new

The alexa has both workflows, u can go the Prores route or the arriraw route, its up to the user.


Now back on topic, you dont NEED NEED a red rocket to work with red, but it is nice to have one.
