  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

WHO TOOK DRAGON UPGRADE????

Since I already had the bottom fan 1.0 installed and the top 2.0 red was more than accommodating to install the 2.0 fan set and return my original combo. Nice as I can sell those or roll back to the 1.0 bottom fan if need be.
 
Got mine back from up grade today.
 
Just received an email from the RMA group that the my DRAGON has been born. The camera was delivered to RED on Monday and I'd be able to pick it up today, Friday, except for RED closing down early today for the holiday. No disrespect to the veterans, but it's gonna be a long weekend for me. Oh well, maybe now I won't work and just pay my respects. Probably better this way, my brother served 4 tours in Afghanistan as a Ranger and deserves lots of respect for his service along with all the others.

I just received my camera back from RED!
Here is a timeline to help you guys understand how it goes

Red's estimates it takes 7 to 10 business days for the Dragon Update,
it took them 6 days to update my camera, they are working fast!

Email received: May 9
Paid for Dragon and RED Armor Upgrade: May 13
Received RMA: May 14
Camera sent: May 14
RED got my camera: May 15
Passed RED factory specification evaluation: May 19
Dragon Update finished: May 22
Camera sent back: May 22
Received camera: May 23

Also, they sent me my old front fan, which was cool, as I forgot to tell them.

Red informed me the process can take 10 days. I have an Epic there now (not on this list) being upgraded... Sadly running into some logistic issues may need a rental but am talking to my buddies before I hit the RU rental needed section... I think I got it covered but hoping it shows up in time so I don't need to, but like I always say roll with the punches!
 
Ordered July 10. Waiting for that first day of orders to be processed.
 
its moving fast now my buddy got his early adopter order, then the next day his non early adopter order came in too... so don't worry its moving along nicely now!

my worry is when you get your dragon can you edit the footage? Premiere update support dragon footage? Please let me know if anyone is having issues with workflow that is my biggest worry right now.
 
I recently took delivery of two Carbon Fiber EPIC DRAGONs and have been having some difficulties with Premiere CC. It works but not 100%. Dragon files come in to Premiere and Premiere thinks they are at 40% opacity. They show in the timeline as 100% opacity, but you cannot change the opacity and obviously something is wrong. After Effects will not work at all with Dragon footage. Anybody have any idea when Adobe will address this or if there is some plug in or workaround to solve this?
 
Epic shipped yesterday #1247. Was very sad to see it go. Well a little. Not too much. But we had become very close.
