  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

WHO TOOK DRAGON UPGRADE????

Wow. they received my epic last Monday and it arrived back as dragon today.. Now thats an amazing turn around time! 5 biz days!

They really are working hard to ramp things up. Nice to see more Dragons flying out the door.

Got my RMA and sent Epic-M 00942 to Red today. Hoping for quick turnaround...

my friend (not on this list) just got his email! so excited! can't wait guys!

edit

just paid it right now! I'll let you guys know when it arrives, but based on the above info from other people who just completed the process looks like things are speeding along rapidly! SUPER STOKED!

Got my email for April 10th 12:26 PM registration.

Am prepping it for shipment but cannot figure out how to remove the Epic Adaptor I installed on the camera when I first took possession. Can anyone help with that? I've loosened the two screws at the top of the back... tried it both locked and unlocked... tapped it gently on the bottom with a rubber hammer... nothing works. It's as though it is part of the camera it is so solid. Without its removal, the camera doesn't fit properly in the foam cutout in the shipping case.

What adapter are you referring to?

It came in the Original early adopter package. I think the purpose was to attach the quad Redvolt battery holder. I put it on, never used it, but since my cameras usually stay on tripods, I forgot it was even there. It looks just like the back of the camera with the triangle accessory hookup. I've attached the Redmote to it.

O.K. I was able to get the camera into the foam cutout and was able to close the lid with no problems. But I would still like to know if anyone has had a problem removing the damn thing. I put a note in the box for the upgrade techs telling them that if they get the thing off, DON'T REATTACH IT!

It has 4 screws...or it should have...

That was it! Thanks Tommaso!

Silly me, I thought those bottom screws were there to hold the pins thingy in place. '-)

It's actually been a few weeks already but the cameras have been keeping so busy I'm only now coming around to announcing the good news that both RED EPIC-X DRAGON #302 "Fuchur" and RED EPIC-M DRAGON #1221 "Smaug" have now been upgraded.

Got my first Dragon back from the OLPF change just about the same time I received the email for my second camera upgrade. At least I will only have to pay shipping once on the second camera instead of twice for the first camera... shipping and insurance have been getting expensive!
