We're looking for a few beta testers that are currently using the Teradek Cube (155, 255, 655) for iOS monitoring. We have some new software we'd like you to try on your iPads - you're going to like it.

Let me know!

I just bought a cube 655. Used it on a recent shoot for client monitoring. Very impressed. I pretty much wrote off ios monitoring since 2011 when I bought the o.g. cubes and had reliability issues. I have to say the cube series has come a long way since then. Been very impressed. Im already happy with Teraview. If you have something better cookin in beta, I'd be happy to give it a spin.

I have been using it now for about 3 months. My clients love that I can just hand out ipad monitors to everyone, and I love that it's super fast to setup. I have the 155TX and haven't really used the RX yet, but am loving the ease and simplicity of this setup. I'd love to test out your new software.

Used 5 of the 655s on a recent shoot. Have to say, not the best experience. My CAs were exasperated as were the directors.....

Very interested in this workflow.

Hey Yean,

Can you tell me what sort of issues you ran into? Happy to help.

I don't suppose this extends to the Clip? :D

I am loving having an ipad as a super simple multi-cam wireless monitor with minimal hardware at next to no cost or footprint.

I've not tried this software with the Clip but it is possible. Let me look into it for you.

What router are you using with the Clip? Actually, im wondering what router any of you who responded to this thread use?

I would like to be a part of this betatest if possible. Have a Teradek Cube which doesn´t get used at all these days, so maybe this can get it back into production.

I used this. To no avail. Constantly laggy signals and frozen frames. My CAs tried every possible combination at every location until we gave up. Cuz it was just too time consuming.

Thanks for the info Yean. If you're getting frozen frames and lag, it is 99% an interference issue. Typically, the best way around those issues is lowering the bit rate, changing some settings on the Cube side, or manually setting your WiFi channels. It also helps, sometimes, to have a WiFi system with beam forming -- we use Ruckus @ NAB because its the one of the few routers that can hold up in that crazy RF environment.
