The guys at Neon in London knocked on out of the park with this little morsle just in time for the holidays. ( I was not involved in the shoot just like Neon's work)

If your into skateboarding , RED and VFX as much as I am then this is a killer BTS showing how they achieved this.

very nice.. MK1 superspeeds?

They were Superspeeds, but can't remember the details. We had one Ultraprime wide angle too I think.

Great work Eric
Wish more info on the mapping would be posted on Neon's site as well.

I think the Neon guys want to keep a few tricks up their sleeve!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. We've been blown away by the response our little film has generated.

To answer the lens questions, it was shot with a combination of MkII Super Speeds (at least, that's what our producer assures me) and an 18mm UltraPrime. On the camera mapping front, we really haven't held much back in our Making Of. Mari is an awesome piece of software, and allowed us to work smoothly with some very, very high resolution textures.

Huge, huge thanks from all of us to the incredibly talented people who worked on this. It was lensed beautifully by Paul O'Callaghan, with some awesome focus pulling by Eric. And Box of Toys produced some stunning audio as you can hear.

Tom

Ya I did pick that up with the Mari UI, nice to be able to fly around 2k and 4k textures with ease.
How did you guys get Danny in on it ? Key choice from the Blueprint line up of skaters.

Yes, Mari's amazing. Needs a beast of a machine, but it's well worth it.

Danny's the friend of a friend, and a lovely guy to boot. He must have done that bluntslide about forty times, and without a word of complaint.
