I'm pretty decided to go with the lower-mount V-lock from Wooden Camera since considering all the different pros and cons, but it's still quite a long time before getting it.
I was thinking about what options to go with while waiting. I have the old +1 module with cable-less Quickplate module and it has power outputs, but non of those can be used to plug into the weapon (while attaching those old modules on the side of the camera), right?

I changed up my cable-less order with WC because I needed a solution for this week.

If you have a current v-mount plate from WC, what you can do is order their QuickBack (Weapon) and attach your v-mount plate to that. Then, order the cable-less upgrade kit to receive later.

It may cost something like $5 more in the end, but it's a quick-ish solution while you wait!

Just cut off you AC cable buy some low cost lip0 connectors and a low cost V mount plate and put the same connector there. We done that on all our power supplies. So now I can power the camera or what ever with anything 12V / as all our power cables has this little low cost lipo connectors.

Also that V mount dual plate thing is not bad at all. nice to have on the rods behind camera with two big Vmounts and then a third on camera with such setup you do not need to worry about batteries until after lunch.

and when somebody trip on your AC cable the thing just unplugs, instead of ripping the head of the lemo connector... or tipping your tripod. Saved me a couple of times, and yes normally it´s me who is tripping on it :)

Pretty ingenious Björn... I was thinking recently that I wish Wooden Camera would make a connector that hooks onto the back of their V mount plate and a AC to DC converter that plugs into that. Would really be a help for getting wall power to RAVEN cheaply.

You can allways buy a v mount male plate with ac dc converter 220v to 12v and use as power supply.
