  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Which camera & lenses were used for HBO's Chernobyl

Haha - I was waiting for you to step in Jake.

You did such an amazing job on these pieces, and your connection to the place/time made it even more special.

while Phil alluded to that "there's a war going on between u and I", we both know there's nothing between us other than a massive difference in IQ, humor and handsomeness.

having said this, I am truly happy for u that u found that someone that u had a special time with doing BTS !

:cornut:

Blackstone... u little Ukrainian Judas... wow. yes, I find your post highly amusing too !
yes... before u scream, we all know the diff between Ukraine and Russia. but if u can't see that in the show u don't know jack shit. of course u don't differentiate (and u never will) b/c of the insane shit Stalin did.

jake, jake, jake... the flag in the wind...

count ur pennies buddy, that u got for selling ur soul...... years ago !!! ;-)

Just when I thought you couldn’t sink any lower, you prove me wrong again:)

I'm not concerned considering how low ur bar is ;-)

truth hurts, heh ?

of course u came crawling out of ur hole once u saw an opportunity to promote ur shit...

and if my opinion would have been opposite, u'd appreciated it... ;-)))

no integrity.

Wow, I enjoyed the first two pages of this topic a lot. It’s unbelievable the knowledge and talent that is on this forum.
The last two, not so much.
Thanks,
Tim

I agree with you, but prefer "the last two" over reduser.net being a safe space.

Courteous discourse especially on a popular public "real name" forum is usually the best way to be.

Slight insults subtly masked in an expected reply via superiority complexes are mostly humorous and standard internet things.

Nothing new, but this is strangely still an online community first. I'd be as bold as saying everybody here wants to be treated with respect, even if you disagree with each other.

But hey, maybe that's above my pay grade.

In short, don't be an asshole and you'll do fine here on REDuser and perhaps even in life.

The moderators draw the line.

The moderators draw the line.

Actually, this was more or less set forth from the beginning. It's more of a founder thing/moderator enforced.

Civility is well received in most of the professional camera related organizations and humor is also welcome. Even a back handed comment in jest has a place. But personal attacks and insults are typically out of bounds. Specifically personal attacks have no place here.

You can go ahead and call people stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder, but it's revealing more about the poster when things go that route. And if you are that poster/person I will indeed call you a princess.

Jesus.... I'm curious where the "agree to disagree" moment is going to play out... Man... Just saying those words out loud is incredibly liberating and empowering.... Lets try it.... "Lets agree to disagree"..... The theory behind this is incredible... Really... Because at no point are you admitting you're wrong (for the sake of pride of course...) and at no point are you saying they're right! (for the sake of pride of course...) But you are saying simply that... "Lets agree to disagree..." AHHHH!!!! That feels amazing!

Now, separately to create an opinion of somethings overall look is all well and good.... However, and I generally stay out of these sort of love affairs, but knowing how much work goes into these processes, whether someone agrees with an aesthetic or not... One cannot simply comment on the amount of labor involved. A generalization of effort based on a subjective point of view with little to know knowledge of the process that was implemented is truly something to look on and discard. It's baffling to say that the work was simple and easy without actually knowing the process... And yes... of course..... I'm sure the process was "Easy"..... in some peoples opinion.... However.... Until you're sitting in the kitchen, counting the hours going and watching what grandma puts in her secret recipe.... You dont know what it's in the Sauce... Sure, it might taste like bottled Ragu to you.... However.... What it tastes like is irrelevant.... The amount of hours and work that went into making it are in fact irrefutable...

I agree that story, actors and styling and camera work are very good but its still interesting to know, very refreshing they did not got the way of lots of recent Netflix productions where it seems compulsory to have headlights and head torches shining in anamorphic lenses for at leat 5 minutes per film. the sounddesign is simply outstanding.
