  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The 35mm Scarlet pre-announced years ago, with dragon sensor. Not the 24mm version.

That was "Scarlet-FF35" and was to have the "Monstro" sensor. At NAB last year, Ted said that "Dragon" was essentially the first of the "Monstro" family. But who knows what the specs are and how they will relate to what was announced oh so long ago. But yes, lots of people waiting for the larger sensor cameras I think. For me personally, I'm trying to patiently wait for that EPIC-645 model! :)

I wonder how the 645 relates to their new 3d system?

I just wonder, a new way to do 3d just occurred to me, some fundamental challenges but possible they could be trying this, I wonder what bit deoph to preserve resolution. I can extract compression on this one, ohh this is good, very very very good. I know what the competition is planning personally, and this leaves that for dead in the stone age, asking as we can preserve resolution. If they are planning this and redray like mine, I take back what I have been thinking, there might be true geniuses in there ranks, join the club. The format inspired my thoughts. Yep, my brain just verifying the process, very interesting.

Oh, I just reversed engineered the projection system for it, related to one of my old ideas a bit.

I'm so going to pay on them if they release something inferior. ;)

Very convenient, I just extracted it to a small format form (relatively small that is).

Going to get somebody to take a look at this. Hmm, just worked out another projection form of technique.

The true35 thing was not the name I was suggesting, but just having ago at all this 24mm s35mm thing is actual real 35mm thing.

You can go first, I'm likely going to hold onto this one until they, or somebody, releases it, somebody gives me money, or a charity offers me a ten percent split for them to develop and make money off of it.

Just had another revelation while doing admin, and cross applying it to my top end compression ideas, thousands to one visually loss less+. I have suggested a few of these things before.

That is about the final one to cover the field, ready to develop. Now just a matter to back track and see if all the pieces fit reality (are possible).

I was teasing... just amused to see your stream of thoughts that are incomprehendable on this end :)

He, he, I keep it abstract, but often drop obscue hints some people might be able to perceive directions or broad features from. I was really waiting for you to spill the beans and wreck all their patent application. :) . For legal reasons the poor cant spill the beans and patent. I want one of those projectors even more now, especially if it maybe like one of mine (I do truck loads of design conceptualization work on various things for my own products). But who am I kidimg, Red couldn't possibly figure this out (though a design does come to mind) it ussually takes industry ten years to cotton onto the same ideas and who knows how many people and how much money. I have reviewed it and come up with a few more angles. I want to make one more hint, but it gets too obvious. This overlaps with a lot of techniques I have come up with before, if only I spent a few more minutes thinking about this direction before (though my fundamental knowledge was more lacking then). Just a shame I was not suitable for physics and engineering degrees as well.

Wayne:

I have no idea what you're talking about but hope you post it's unboxing video.

with fondest regards,

A 645 combined with the laser projector might make for a pretty nifty off axis 3d laser scanner... but there are better uses of the two (quite frankly).

I don't think we are going to see a true card carrying 645 from RED for a very long time.

When we see the un-boxing video on that I will probably be getting the “early bird” special composed of entirely soft "squishy" foods somewhere in Florida... hopefully someone puts me out of my misery before then... come friendly bullets...

Not sure what Wayne is going on about, but... I can try my own musings.

Fractal algorithms trump wavelets. Can be 100% totally lossless in every way. But where do I round up the CPU power? Must build time machine... should finish by next tuesday.

Jeff:

I've just come back from next Tuesday where I found I beat you to it.

Also, at exactly 9:42 and 24 seconds: duck!

A.
