A-mount system included A-mount and various adapters for different lenses. With the system, you can change your lenses quickly and safely, without adjusting the back focus length.
On A-mount system, now you can use Contax C/Y ,Leica R , M42, Nikon F , PL and BNCR lenese. In the future, there will be rehousing A-mount/PL lenses in the future as well.

With Allstar system, you can change those lenses at the same time, quickly and safely. There is Allstar A-mount system introduction video:

Some people suggested me to use universal system (like IMS) on my A-mount, however, my design not only can let you lock different lenses on your machine, but also improve the way to assemble the lenses, faster and safer. Moreover, the direction of lenses can be changed.

Due to some reasons, I cannot work over 2 days a week right now,:mad2:and this is very disturbing me.:emote_hanged:(I will explain if there is any chance in the future.) But this situation will be better in few months. I`ll update my wedside ASAP.

Great work and RED approved! What is the approx weight of the A-Mount and the F-Mount adapter?

Awesome

Awesome

Fantastic concept but like many others I will be swapping my Red one out to Epic. Investing further in the Red One is not smart in my position. Is there a plan to make this concept work with the Epic?

Tom how is that possible, when the Epic is not a shipping product. 7500 RED Ones Vs. 0 Epics? How does one engineer to an unknown variable?

With the MX upgrades, means many owners are expressing in interest in keeping or extending the life of the RED One. RED is still shipping the RED One. So I don't believe the RED One has one foot in the grave. Not yet at least.

Great invention. I got it about a week ago and absolutely loving it, very highly recommended to every RED owner should won one unless you can afford a real Pl lens.

Allstar,

congrats.

This mount will make at least 10 years long use of RED1 with MX upgrade!!!

Well I'm out.
Just did the math and $6000.00 for lens adapters is too much for a frugal kind of guy like me.

Please try your calculations again, Still Time to Get It Right.

lol it seems that you have a bunch of lenses!
but except the A-mount cost $300 and PL-adapter cost $260 (these two you only need each only one!)
the other adapters (for Nikon and Contax) are $150.
if you want to have every adapter for each lens, then $6000 can buy 40 adapters for your 40 lenses!
if you would like to order 40 my adapters, I definitely will give you discount.
and thank you for your tracking here!

1 A Mount, 1 PL Mount, 36 lens adapters.
What does your math come out to?

All the Best!
Hey David,
Now you turning my coffee into theorems. If two wrongs don't make a right, lets try three. (lol)

Solution:
$300 (A-Mount) + $260 (PL-Adopter) + $150 (Nikon-Adopter) + $150 (Contax-Adopter) + Watch following video 33 Times for free (Quick change adaptor within 10 sec) = $860

Good health, good luck, and happiness for today and every day

I don't want to change adapters at all during a shoot.
And the last thing you want is a renter mucking with changing out adapters.
Otherwise I'd just keep on doing what I am now & switch out mounts.

By the way, are there rear lens caps that come with the new lens mounts?

Hi David,
I am not really getting the point. I have had this adapter for last 8-10 days, for me it just changing a mount for one time(A mount), after that you use whatever lens you have Nikon, PL, C/Y......and if i have 36 lenses, and that can be use in my RED by just expending $6000, i would blindly jump. It's just my thought(you don't have to agree)

Hi ALLSTAR,
I love to but i don't know what to put, but its for sure, i used to use my camera 2-3 times a month only because i had to rent PL lenses(Coz i don't own any) but now i just snap my Nikon lens and go and shoot. I waited for a while for this mount since you put your first video and it was worth of every single penny.

Yes David you are correct. That would cost you $6000.

David, you really have me curious. Could you post a list of the 36 different lenses you have in your kit?
