  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What would Deanan do?

Good luck in all future endeavors Deanan! It was great getting the RED/Avid solution moving forward with you and the team.

Michael

Deanan you taught me a lot and help us tremendously on Pirates 4, your knowledge, generiousity and humbleness are unmeasureable. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! All the best in your future journeys and in the coming year. Maybe now you'll have some time to come visit us in Ecuador , you are welcome anytime :) !!

Yikes

Yikes

While I join the chorus wishing Deanan all the best and thanking him for all he's done... OUCH.

No offense to the rest of the RedTeam but this is a huge loss for the program. People like Deanan who can understand both the real world challenges of working with a paradigm shattering camera and its eco-system, as well as how to actually create the tools needed to meet those needs - rare. He was one of Jim's most crucial hires and a key player in RDC's success.

Cheers - #19

Question: So who will bring us the truth from now on ...? Since Deanan always put the facts into the long threads of guessing :)

Deanan finally got caught building a real rocketship in the RED lab made out of miscellaneous electronic camera parts? Your professionalism and deftness will missed. Continued success on the next leg of the journey.

...very, very curious what he's going to do next. With his skills and know how...

Good luck Deanan, sincerely.

...and many thanks for always take time to respond to my emails and for your help.

Best

Antoine

I am really sad. But I can say with happy confidence that Deanan and I will remain friends for a long time. He was such a key part of our team on Spiderman and I will miss him as part of the RED team. Remember anything you need, anytime my friend......

T'embrasse,

Peter

Been traveling - I can mirror what Steve Sherrick said -
I imagine beaches and no phones is where Deanan is headed now

Hang in there Red Team - glad you guys aren't taking it personally

Thank you Deanan - all the best !

Sad to see Deanan go, as everyone said he def took the place of more than 1 person. His understanding of tech/real world issues and his seemingly impossible non-sleep sched made for a rock you could really rely on.

There will be a hole at RED it will take several people to fill as Jim said and I wish Deanan only the best moving forward. We have some great pizza and beer waiting for him here in NYC.

DIT Station has got a lot of respect for Deanan and he has helped us guys out more times than I can count. You're a great guy and a fantastic professional.
All the best for the future Deanan and I know we'll cross paths again.

I will miss Deanan, he was the secret ace you could always email and get the good answers to the difficult questions! my best of luck to you Deanan wherever you go!

Great responses to questions and great customer services all part of the daily Reduser diet. Thank you for your contributions, Deanan. I hope RED can find someone as generous and responsive as you have been, to all kinds of user queries.

Best of luck on your journey.

Best of good wishes to both Deanan and Red. thank you, Deanan for all you have contributed to the birth of Red and its Eoic second Son.
