Deanan has decided to leave RED. Deanan has been a key part of RED's program. But everything in life changes.... including delivery dates and Deanan's future.

We love Deanan. I have only the best thoughts and memories about Deanan. It is hard to see him go.

I can only hope that Deanan finds a place that makes him happy. I give my best reference. Truly.

Deanan is smart as hell. Deanan was a key player at RED. It will take several people to replace him.

Internally it will be a blow that we will recover from. Barely.

In the end, I wish only the best for Deanan. His contribution to RED is immeasurable.

Everything in life changes. Respect doesn't. My fullest respect to Deanan.

Jim

He was always nice to me and helped me many times.
Thank You so much for everything! Good luck Deanan.

all the luck Deanan

Well bugger. Sad news, I can't imagine what Deanan will go on to do that will push him as I am sure Red has done. Good luck mate, i wish you nothing but success as you move on to the next chapter in your life...... you as you will be a miss. cheers mate!

I wondered if this day may come, as people do move on. Well, this is a huge blow to me personally. Deanan has been incredibly helpful to me over the years. Many times he has responded to me on weekends, late hours, whatever the case may be. He's smart, very smart. He was always interested in figuring out what the issue might be and how to solve it. Sometimes it was operator error, and he never complained. I think he will be a tough guy to replace. I think RED will need some time to find someone, or perhaps a few someones as Jim said to fill his shoes.

All I can say is THANK YOU Deanan for helping me out over the years and never complaining. You have my respect. Good luck with everything moving forward.

Best wishes Deanan! Thanks for all you have done and your friendly assistance when it was needed!

Sometimes the best testiment one can make for their professionalism, skill and all-round 'nice-chap-iness', is by the size of the hole that is left when they leave.
Im sure Deanan falls in to that category - Nothing but the very best of luck to him, he deserves nothing but good things!

All the best to Deanan. As a red user for some years now and as a future Red owner, all I know about Deanan is what I see in these boards. He was in most technical threads and questions in these boards. And like many others have said, always asking questions, giving answers and trying to solve problems. Don't know how involved Deanan was in the whole Red development process- When is the "Red" book coming?- but from the feedback I see he trully was a big, influential and, above all, great person.

I hope, though, he doesn't leave a big hole, like Gary says, in Red! As Deanan looks ahead for new challenges, I hope Red continues its jorney of innovation and pushing boundaries with the same energy it has done until today!

Good Luck, Deanan, all the best, and thank you!

Wow.

Thanks, Deanan! Wishing you all the best for whatever your future holds.

Where's he going is the question. Anyone know? Sony, Nikon or Canon?
