What is the Module Adapter for?

It's a mystery to me. Besides taking up space and weight, what's the purpose of that extra thing?

Why can't the modules just attach without that extra "module-for-modules"?

The module adapter holds the quick release mechanism that allows you to click modules on the back with a quarter turn of a torx wrench.

I suppose that Module Adapter acts as some kind of "insurance".

If anything gets damaged it's the $300 module that you will need to replace and not your $12,000/43,000 camera.

It's for the D-tap and Lemo power outs. But that page of the drawing got lost on the way to manufacturing. :tongue_smilie:
