  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What happned to the Scarlet CF cards?

I think the bottom line (with no sarcasm intended).. Is throw everything out that was previously associated to the former Fixed-lens Scarlet program. The camera grew up, and because of that things inevitably got discarded. To my knowledge (and liberal use of the forum search tool), RED have not indicated, however slightly, that the CF media side was going to be applicable to the Scarlet or Epic. If you absolutely need to go that route, then look at an external recorder. Like 'burst mode' CFs are another feature that have been seemingly axed from the Scarlet/Epic programs

Please read my posts. I have explained that i DONT WANT THIS FEATURE. I just asked "why".

Burst mode is another thing, and i never got that idea from the original scarlet. It is gone. Dead. Not coming back. I understand this, i dont even WANT the old scarlet.

Firstly, I hope you dont mind but I corrected the font size in your post in my reply, my laptop doesnt need a magnification feature, and trying to inject emotion in font size just bores me.
Secondly, If you dont want the feature, and presumably your exhaustive search on the reduser search engine hasn't gained any results, and you choose to ignore the 'it got axed' reply (which was fine), and you dont want to call Red yourself and ask - the what the hell are you looking for?

Not directed at you. Anyways, No results on why id dissapeard, "it got axed" doesnt answer my question and just makes me think people dont want to help. If you dont, dont reply. Im in Australia, and the timing will be bad, and the cost will be high.

No disrespect to you Timothy, I know you're only 15 and perhaps just starting out - and yes, the internet derails quickly when it comes to these sorts of threads (on reduser more than most). But having said that, you have to remember that sometimes a short response is there because its the most simplest and the 'current knowledge'. Its not intended to be rude or curt, just a quick answer to an honest question.
Keep asking questions, its the way we all learn - but when you get a response that seems harsh, maybe err on a positive intention, rather than a negative one

Ok lets just end this thread, its obvious that nobody understands me. Its like my burst mode thread. Can we leave the unhelpful reply's to the DVXuser forums please? After all, this is red.

Im sorry to anyone i might have caused bad taste with. Im just tired of getting reply's that are "suited for my age group". Imagine you walking into a car dealership and they wont take you seriously. You ask "what engine does this one have" and the answer you get is "a one that goes".

If you don't want to be treated like a kid, you need to treat those who answer your questions (whether you like the answer or not) with a bit of respect... and maybe take a step back once in a while and think "gee... maybe that makes sense!"
 
haha. Well I didnt admit that I was a troll, just simply that I'm trying to understand your method of communication.

Moreover, I'm sorry, I find it hard to take anyone seriously who's profile picture is of (presumably) them pointing a screen to camera. I'm not sure kids and guns are a 'mature' message in any forum.
