  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What happened to Element Technica?

When Weapon was first released Element Technica came out with cable less gold mount backs for the dsmc2 body. After getting allocated for Epic-W, I'm buying up aks, and can't find it on their site. Were they a limited run? Were they discontinued or not good? The only other option for gold mount is Wooden Camera but the ET one looks better :)

Tilta seems to have gold mount plates in their package. Maybe you can ask for just the plate:

Mine works fine on weapon and Epic-W. in fact, I have two, one still unopened in the bag if anyone wants to buy one.
 
Yes ET has been a RED owned company for a while now,

My ET AB Weapon module worked like a charm as well... :)

Element Technica is run as an external company with their own everything... staff, manufacturing, sales, support, buildings. etc.

We are getting a lot of calls asking the same questions but unfortunately we don't have any answers, so you need to contact ET.

I have tried to do this since this thread appeared but with no joy. Email unanswered (they must be busy) and nobody answers the phone...Hope all is well there!!!

Ketch, I was wondering...Do you have any news on the prototype dual cam rig with one lens to greatly expand dr ? There was a problem with getting 0 parralax from dual cam and mono lens, as opposed to traditionnal dual cam rig. ET makes me think about that btw, despite the fact that the mono-lens prototype wasn't ET one.
 
I have always got good response from ET when I had a question or needed something.
I wonder if they are changing their web or contact info. Seems kind of strange.
I sent a notice to ET so maybe they will post some answers here.

I have called many times in the past few days. I have yet to have anyone pick up the phone.
 
I noticed that last week too.

Edit: And, since this thread started, (maybe before) every time I went to their website, I got an "unsafe" warning. Not sure what that has to do with anything.
