  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What EVF res. numbers are shipping now?

Hey Larry, sorry Bro but it's on the way. I'd have it tomorrow if not for the holiday. C'mon Monday!! I'm sure yours is hurtling towards you as you read this!

I guess you are all happy enjoying your EVF. I still haven't even gotten an email. GRRRRRRRR

But, congrats to you. Go make some pretty pictures.

Larry, third time is a charm :) - see my posts to Jeff and Skipdivils.... EVF is allocated, email might have gone to an out of date email or caught in your SPAM filter. Contact Brian B....

Larry...turns out my email was for the torx wrench!!! No EVF yet, you're gonna beat me to it. Let me know how great it is!

Brent...mine must be right behind??

Is the day you took delivery of your camera the actual day FedEx delivered it or the day Red received the check? I'm camera 1395 and I received my camera on June 2nd but sent payment in on May 6th.

Brent you are a lifesaver. I start a feature on Friday and have been holding my breath for the EVF. I sent an email to Brian.

Ken, bummer the shipment was just the wrench. Hopefully yours will be out the door really soon.

I sense a recurring theme here.... Already allocated, email Brian B.

Based on date your camera was invoiced - meaning when it was about to leave our building.

Hi Brent,
It just arrived!! :-)
I took your advice & contacted Brian, and he got on it right away.
Thanks for the super fast service!
I see the EVF serial number on the box lid...is the number included somewhere on the EVF that cannot be seen from the outside?
I was just curious since my kit gets inspected by Customs whenever I travel outside the country...I include all the serial numbers on the Carne..and I know they might want to know if it is visable or not. If it's not, I'll remove it from that document.
Thanks again for the great work!

Peel the rubber focus grip back and you will see a white sticker with the serial #.

PS - (regarding your CML inquiry) I'm a big fan of 5229, shot a feature almost entirely on it. LAST DAYS, ELEPHANT, and AMERICAN GANGSTER were all shot on this stock by Harris Savides, as well as all the cold looking stuff in AKELAH AND THE BEE by David Mullen (not sure why David didn't mention that in his response on CML...) It's awesome for DI, and on the feature I shot it seemed to take anything I threw at it. We had some other stocks for daylight but on the occasion that we ran out and used 5229 when it didn't seem optimal it performed perfectly for my needs. It's my favorite. Shot some candle-lit scenes with it where my light meter wasn't even registering and the footage came out amazing, 5229 is magic film.

Woooo Hooooo!!!!!!! It's here and it is incredible! Thanks Brent, Brian B, Marco Polo, Justin and everybody else that got this beautiful chunk of technology on the road and into my hands.

Thanks to Jacek Zakowicz of OptiTek for offering to let me borrow his prototype clip on finder to hold me over if the EVF didn't arrive in time for the feature I start in the morning. I leave in a couple of hours, so the EVF got here just barely in the nick of time.

I love this community.

received...

received...

After two days of customs clearance and a weekend, my viewfinder arrived this morning. Five days from e-mail to delivery...not bad!

Thanks Brian!

Camera number is #1297. Viewfinder is #1096.

I am now going to go in search of the EVF thread that talks about intermittent "flashing" in the finder. And I'm not talkin' about the RGB thing...oh boy...

Hmmmm....hopefully I don't have to ship back! :-(

where is serial #?

where is serial #?

Camera# 1740,
I got one this morning,
Thanks, Marco and Brian B.
I can't find serial#, where is it?

PS. is next essential thing ET's EVF Mounting System, eh?

I got an EVF this morning, but there is no serial # on EVF.
I can see the hand writing (GREEN PEN: says 777 and red and green dot) on a EVF cardboard box.
And sealed plastic cover was wrinkled and was looked like "the returned item", but it works fine so far.
At least I can find real serial number on EVF.
I've checked on the back of rubber stuff also.

after I posted ,
5 minutes latter,
I just talked Brian B and He told me where is.
WOW! FOUND IT.
#0777
NICE NUMBER!
Also, Brian, he himself checked my EVF.
That's why.
I LOVE RED ONE!

Thanks BRIAN,

faster than expected #1740..that's good
