I too had to choose "other", and I too have held a LOT of positions on a pro set, the only positions I would never accept (and therfor not qualify for in any way) are: make-up, costumes & sound.

I'm a director, but bought the RED ONE: first to learn to understand this tool better (I think you get a higher respect from the DP when you know what you are talking about) and second to give the DP a longer time to play with the camera before starting the main shooting.
