Hello guys,

Could you please share what lenses have been tested and currently are "the best/compatible" with Komodo Autofocus?
Particularly interested in fast prime lenses 24, 50, 85 range.

Are the native RF lenses to be looked at or autofocus works good with adapters to?

Zoom lenses also considered thou but as last..

Thanks.

I don't think autofocus is functional yet

I don't think autofocus is functional yet

Since last year it has been implemented.

At the moment after testing all current EF and RF lenses I can say safely the lenses themselves make a difference. Some have faster and silent motors versus not-so-much.

Speed and silence comes from the L series generally speaking. The 35mm f/1.8 RF Macro for instance works great, but I find it's bit slower than others like the 50mm f/1.2L RF.

As with most AF systems- light levels, object contrast, object size all effect AF on the Komodo. As @philholland mentioned the support is there (Although I find its finnicky sometimes having to reseat the lens to get it recognized). I actually prefer not only the autofocus accuracy but also the image on the 35 f/2 EF vs the aforementioned RF... However a big advantage to the RF is being able to control f-stop from the lens ring compared to having to go to the tiny monitor
