  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What about fan speed?

Dave's reply is from 2012. The camera gives you color coded warnings if you are out of spec for your particular Black Shading Calibration due to T (temperature) or E (exposure). If the camera for some reason is baking and gets too hot it will shutdown to cool itself off to avoid hardware damage. Though You need to get it pretty damn hot to do that.

Thanks Phil. You mean it pops up a warning if it gets too hot? I'm just scouring the forums now, trying to make sure I fully understand the fan issue -- what speeds are recommended, what happens if I push it too far, etc. I realized it was from 2012, but it seemed like that's still the way it works, no?

I'm still curious about the sensor temp vs. core temp, too. Do I need to pay attention to both?

I did not read the whole thread and some of it is a bit outdated. But to me and at least for dragon with the new fan and top fan adaptive mode seams to make most logic then the camera makes sure to stay at good operating temperature as long as it can and it's (im not a sound guy) very silent and it keeps the sensor on steady temperature wich seems quite important for the dragon as it goes quite out of color if the camera is hot or cold, no?
