Hi All,

I picked up a couple of the daylight 10"x10" Flex panels and am very happy with them. They don't have the noticeable green tint that so many of the LED's do, and they punch above their weight given size and portability.

I've found myself doing a lot more travel run and gun stuff this year, and not having to fuss with Gels would be an advantage as long as the new instrument's color is good.

I've used a fair bit of brands and I'm looking to avoid two fairly common problems. The aforementioned green (or magenta) tint, and an inadequate low end kelvin temp.

Specifically several of the panels I've worked with market themselves as 3000k or 2800k panels but they really come in closer to 3250-3400 so they don't blend well with tungsten practicals.

Also the tungsten panels seem to always have a bit more of a tint to them than the daylight panels.

I'd also be interested in opinions regarding the scrimjim thing that's available for the newer panels.

I'm hoping for feedback from folks who have used the Bicolor Flexes as that would be ideal if they don't suffer for the above problems.

Thanks for your feedback

I have the 1x2's bi-color w scrim jims- they are great for all the obvious reasons.... I have the soft boxes w them and work great...- usually need more diffusion....
Would like to find some kind of egg crates to work w them....
Bought 1x1 scrimjim frames for my 10x10 flexes and w some creative velcro work they work well w soft boxes from some old 1x1 light panels...

As far as color- they are very good- no noticeable green....- the one thing is that they don't get quite cool enough when turned all the way to 6300k (only get to about 5300k on meter) Tung levels are fine- dimmer goes to 2700 if I remember right...
