  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Well, I'm Sold on Dragon

I am going go for the Scarlet Dragon. It makes more sense for me. I understand if you are renting out the camera, or working on high-end productions why the Epic deal is more appealing. I bought the Scarlet as a Hobbyist camera that I hoped it would pay for itself. It has done it's job here soon (Final gig to "break even" coming soon!!) That was without trying to hard to make the $$. I have been doing short narratives, and about to embark on my first TV Pilot to pitch. The Scarlet-X works, the Scarlet Dragon will fill in the gaps of what a I need in a camera. I am much more intrested in having a camera with great sensitivity and dynamic range than FPS and resolution. (Granted both are nice!) The only reason I do money for gigs is to pay for the equipment and productions I want to do. So in that sense, the Scarlet Dragon is a better choice for me fufilling all my indie needs..

But that is what it is all about, choice, because one camera is not going to fit everyones need.
