  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Welcome Home Love

So we got to play a bit more yesterday. Some really interesting light situations. No artificial light.

Great capture, we love to see motion one if you can.

Great examples of real world scenes, Tobias. Thank you. I am anxious to get home to check the r3d files. Well, not that anxious. Having good time doing next to nothing on Cayman Islands... Do wish I had a Dragon here though. Very pretty.

Congratss Tobias & Thank you

Thanks Kent

We aren't geeks but freaks! ;-)

Congrats from Lausanne!

Pat

Well that is true I guess... :) Cheers to beautiful Lausanne from Zurich.

Great capture, we love to see motion one if you can.

Thanks, I will post moving images as soon as I can.

Heheh, yeah don't rush, get off reduser right now and enjoy the Caymans :)

Dragon 1 - Street Light 0

I centered the images to avoid viewing the pictures at an angle and having the black levels shift.

Similar shots but with a bit more contrast.

Thanks again Tobias.

Just out of curiosity Tobias what lenses are we looking at here?

These are all RED PRIME PROs - the wide ones are the 25mm and the 35mm, for closer shots we used the 100mm. I really like that 100mm, it's crazy sharp yet very comfortably soft. I will post some more pictures (and movies) shot with with the 85mm, nice one too... :)

Congratulations Tobias, happy to see more dragons flying around in the neighbourhood. It looks fantastic, have fun!

Ivan

And another. Straight out of RCX, only minimal adjustments. Everything is there. Details, information, color.

Short clip - no further adjustments, and the compression and Vimeo don't do this justice of course. But you know, it's fun... :)

The green fringing/ringing around the tree branches in the sky area caused me to investigate the R3D to determine what was causing it.

As far as I can tell, it was just a liberal usage of the Saturation slider in RCX. I quickly tried to see how close I could get to the grade without inducing the green artifacts. Although it's not quite the same, avoiding the fringing was no problem at all.
