For those who have a weapon and have been using it on jobs:

I have a job in a couple of weeks that involves shooting background plates and pov shots in Antarctica. There's a 44lbs limit (total inc hand baggage) on the gear that I can bring with me so the cf weapon would be a good choice in terms of weight and resolution. I will have no access to any other gear if the cameras go down so I really need to know if there have been any issues with the weapons so far, no matter how small. I will bring a backup body (or two) but just need an honest opinion from those who have used the camera.
Thanks,
Shane

Shane,

I hear you on weight limits, I have been the victim of such limitations many times... Yet when I go really remote... I always have a second body... Always... No matter how reliable the camera is... Shit happens... Especially in extreme condition locations...

Any ways,

To answer your question, based on specific communications with several fellow shooters which have taken the Weapon on high altitude GSS systems, open cargo door Airplane, 3km+ snow mountain ranges with temperatures below 20 centigrade... The Weapon has performed flawlessly never stopping working once during 20+ days of shooting.

The Miller Compass 25 has been one of my favorite small heads and took it all over the world for 4 years, just now switched to the Miller Cineline 70, can't recommend it enough.

I've had mine for a fair amount of time. No issues thus far. But I haven't tried dipping it into lava just yet :)

The great thing about the incredibly light weight and compact Weapon is you can keep a spare brain in your back pocket...

I intend to have 2 backups if the budget allows for sure.
