are your internal mic levels higher now?

Or was the faulty flex cable just related to the rear audio input and internal input levels are as low as before?

Unfortunately internal mic levels are as low as before. All that new FLEX cable fixed was that both channels are now even.
Had no effect on base expander audio input.

Utterly puzzling.
