Weapon Module upgrade possibility?

I would like to buy the Revolt Expander module but as I am upgrading to CF Weapon I get the Base Expander module as part of the package. This makes it difficult to rationalise the purchase of the Revolt Expander Module which is my preferred module but I will already own a working I/O module with the Base Expander. A further $3,950 spend becomes a luxury. Could we ask Red for one more favour and allow us to forgo the Base Expander and optionally buy the Revolt Expander Module less the value of the Base Expander? I believe it would be a win win scenario as people would get their preferred module and Red would sell a more expensive module to those who choose?

You could argue that I could sell the Base Expander module and buy the Revolt expander but with so many of them coming with the upgrade cameras their second hand value will be limited. Of course this whole idea is dependant on the Revolt Expander actually being available.

It's a fine idea, but has been asked before and is nowhere near practical for RED. The Base Expander has been made in volume for the kit packages.

I was so looking forward to full size XLR's and some larger real estate on the camera. May have to save more pretty pennies but I have a long wish list.

That module is on my list as well. I'm working to save up for it. It's going to be a fundamental module for studio days.
