When Weapon launched, only the higher powered CF Weapon supported 4K ProRes. It is well documented. The CF Weapon has additional processing power, which is why it supported 4K ProRes.

Check the release notes for the current beta and see what it supports.

Weapon mag supports 4k prores (LT and regular) in the newest firmware (might still be beta).

boo hood lol ok looks like beta has all the new toys! 4k and latest workflow!

It's in beta still but 4K will be limited to 30P max in prores. Keep in mind that this was never part of the original spec for the camera. Very thankful for RED adding features to an already awesome camera.

yeah, lucky... originally it wasn't going to have any 4K prores, so I switch to Carbon Fiber.

The trick with product differentiation is to make all customers unhappy at the same time. lol.
