Option to get 1:1 magnified feed via *some* video port during recording. I need more help than the full-frame focus tools provide!
+1 I would love to use 5" RED Touch as a second monitor and be able to have the focus puller punch in while recording. I can do this with a SmallHD monitor, but I just like the 5" touch having 1 cable instead of two or extra batteries with the SmallHD.
It would require a lot of coding to actually implement this, but it might be possible particularly on DSMC2 bodies.
At the moment when you magnify into 1:1 it is essentially changing formats while magnified, which is also why you can't record while punched in.
1-The ability to zoom in and move around the magnification area instead of just punching into the center of the frame and be able to do this while recording.
Isn't that already possible with presets ?3-the ability to assign a quick key to change frame rates

Premiere does that with the R3D perfectly.
I would prefer the camera to cut the prores file at the same image than the R3D source even if it's not at Fat32maxed at 4Go. Just to match source and proxy perfectly. Same in and out for both the clips.
Is there any problems with relinking spanned ProRes to original R3Ds? If so then the whole process of proxy editing doesn't work.
thinking of getting 6k weapon magnesium, will it be upgrateble to 8 k ? or just the most exp reds will be upgr to 8k ?
Would still love to see an Onion Skin overlay, grabbed from a frame during playback. Drawing atop transparency paper on the monitor for a lot of indie films, and it would make life so much easier to dial in an opaque screen grab. Even if it were the ability to load from a JPEG or R3D grab on the REDMAG in a specific folder for after-the-fact VFX.
