Hello,

I understand that all the audio capabilities will be bound to the different modules.

But I was wondering what are the forseen options for external audio input like AES for the removable inputs of the DSMC2 Redvolt expander?
How does the internal mics sound? Are they even ok for a "witness track"?

Thanks

Pat

They are meant for scratch audio, so I personally wouldn't use them for anything beyond that. If you are shooting talent beyond 6 feet it gets hard to hear them, but it's decent enough if you need a sync helper.

As for the potential of other types of inputs for the REDVOLT Expander and perhaps not-yet-designed modules/expanders, the sky is the limit.

Strange that they put 2 mics on the Weapon body if sound quality is so poor.

I wonder if the mic preamps are in the XLR connector module?
3rd party could develop another XLR module with well knowned high quality preamps...

Not strange at all. Scratch tracks are fairly common on productions and very useful for managing your audio with external recorders.

Don't have answers for your other questions.
