  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Weapon and Remote

Well, considering it wasn't able to control the Epic... ;-)

Supposedly the weapon has built-in wireless connectivity that will work with iOS and Android, so it sounds like the Redmote might be phased out at this point. Mine never worked reliably and has just collected dust over the years, so I'm not sorry to see it go.
 
Only asked because our DEEP ATOM relies on the Redmote to control the master slave cameras on the Atom rig and without the Redmote we won't be able to upgrade to Weapon.
 
Its a real shame. There doesn't seem to be anything in the menus to be able to pair. It appears the redmote uses a BLUETOOTH protocol, witch I assume would work with the weapon (most WiFi chips contain bluetooth too) with a firmware update. Using bluetooth would also explain its terrible range and connectivity.

I hope it could be enabled. Ive got a Redmote sitting doing nothing now, I used to give it to my AC.
 
Redmote didn't work with my weapon, so I sold it. iPhone+Foolcontrol works, it's just as good (the wifi connection is a little buggy).
