  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

All underwater shots are DRAGON on Canon glass in Gates housings.
Topside shots are EPIC MX with a PL Motion Mount and RED 18-50mm.

We definitely didn't shoot the easiest and most controlled environment we could for the Dragon's first dive. WTF kind of fun would that be? The daylight squid footage is at about 90-85 feet underwater with two onboard lights per rig.
The kelp garden shots were all available light (when it came out from behind the clouds), minus the eel shot.

Much thanks and praise to Bob and Johnny for sharing their amazing talent and knowledge with us, putting up with my topside direction when they probably just wanted to jump off the boat instead and then letting us stalk them underwater and eat all the clam chowder on the boat :) Also big thanks to John Ellerbrock of Gates Housings and Ron Amborn of Maxx Digital.

This is a bit of what we shot over those 3 days off Catalina Island, I'll edit something more long-form soon. And this is just the start of Dragon underwater, new OLPF Dragon U/W to come soon...
 
Yeah Clark, the original OLPF released. I'm just about start to diving with new OLPF and really look forward to sharing some of that soon as well...
