This is pretty cool.... R/GA and David Mellor did a great job putting this together.

Great BTS showing the super rig in use up in Vancouver.

and the teaser:

Thank you for sharing! Not this job, but recently I flew a heavy octacopter with Dragon-gimbal rig pretty close to some fast moving Volvos. Don't think that job is official yet, but post link when I can ;) Cheers J

I'm sure this will be very exciting for people who have never ridden in a car.

Jarred - is there any information available on how to actually film for Google VR (or any VR, for that matter)? I'm kind of coming up short everywhere I look.

deliverable, recyclable... admirable!

Very cool. btw the software to do this is out of beta today and i think a non-commercial use one for learning is coming soon. http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/products/nuke/

There are also a bunch of tutorials on the spherical operations(i noticed a few shots in the video's above showing the node layout, i think the view join node is a gizmo so not sure about what that is doing). i would take a few basic nuke classes before i got into spherical projections and camera solves though.

RED is by far the best vfx and vr camera.

Hijacking this thread with a similar project we did last summer =). Ours flew in the air though.
