Good Day,

Does anyone know if View Factor has gone under? I would like to order product BUT no response to emails and their phone number no longer seems to exist. I read in their blog they were having great difficulties financially.

Any info would be helpful.

Bob

I mean, a month ago they released an entirely new lineup of accessories for Epic-Ms from Brook. I'd be a little surprised if they just vanished overnight.

Got my FMJ from them last week after a whole one-week wait...
Very nice product, BTW.

Robert, We're still in business. We generally try to reply to most emails but sometimes a few slip through. Its been a crazy couple weeks.
Thanks to all of you that continue to support us by buying Epic/Red & Canon accessories... it's been helping quite a bit with purchasing the equipment and parts we needed to make motors and controllers.

Some people have to realise that business like Viewfactor aren't huge organisations with staff hours to spare, they are small groups of dedicated and hardworking individuals making a dozen or so really good niche products. If they don't answer your email straight away it's probably because they're working hard making products and filling orders.

Been really happy with my FMJ top plates and I can't imagine trying to rig up an Epic without it.

My experience has been that emails have been answered fully and promptly. Just ordered top, bottom plate, lw support and side handles - great communication, delivery within a week to UK - result... happy customer.

Hi Guys,

All is good. I did wait for over a week before I posted. Thanks Curt for getting to me! Look forward to using your new gear.

Cheers!

Love the top plate from View factor, I ordered two more for two future Epics, didn't want to compete with all the Epic X owners once they started shipping in mass.

Then it looks like there is a huge opportunity for you to create your own much better running business in competition with them.

Of course I just clicked on your web address to see what it is you do so well, ..... and this is what I got

"..... safari can't find the server..."

Glass houses.

For the record, I've called VF several times over the last few months and they've always gotten back to me in a timely manner.

Hey Michael,

You might want to cut them a little slack. Broken links happen.

Curt's an entrepreneur. Something we need more of in this country. He's a good and honest man. I met him at Cinegear (his father was there supporting him) and have had several conversations with him about some of his initial products while under development. He was always friendly and interested in helping me with any information I needed.

I recently ordered the top plate and stealth plate, emailed twice though his online system with questions about delivery, got quick replies, and got the stuff as soon as they had them off the line. It's beautiful, well made stuff.

As someone who started their own production company in a spare bedroom 29 years ago and now runs a $7M company, I know how hard it is to get a business off the ground. Curt's a great guy and dedicated to creating great products. Sure, he struggled early on, as most companies do, and to my knowledge he's done good by every customer.

I'd also add that I think his online storefront/ordering system is great. Much better than many out there.

Oh, and he offered to replace EPIC M plates with EPIC X at no cost to existing customers. Boy, how flaky can you get?

So instead of bashing him and inviting competition, how about considering that he's making some of the best EPIC AKS at the moment and supporting him with an order?

M
