Great idea if done well, particularly for people who need to use the lcd in v bright or flarey conditions or cant afford an EVF AND and LCD or who dont need an evf very often. Even for people who 'work alone' and dont have a director or 1st AC staring over your shoulder all day. Why not!

(this is just a big loupe velcroed onto a digicam but this is the kind of thing i presume)

Hmm not sure 'bout that, its just a loupe with a mirror no?

Anyway it wont be the same size as a 16:9 screen so bring on your solution I say Brian!

Im sure there will be applications outside the red universe for it too mate

I think its a great idea and for alot of people it will be very compelling.
I would have bought one 2 months ago for sure but now I have the EVF.
It is focusable right? I still might get it.

I would suggest you talk to ET about retrofitting the evf mount to work with
your set up or maybe just include a bracket to the LCD to mate with the ET holder.

Or you could simply wear a pair of magnifying reading glasses for close viewing, like I do. $10. I have a pair with lenses only 1/2" high - very thin - that allow me to read the RED LCD pixels from 12-20" away and still see above and below to the world around me.

Is it just me, or has my post been deleted? Today both my posts are gone - strange.

Brian posted pricing information and a few pictures of his nifty device on the RED yesterday. I saw them. Within half an hour, they were gone.

Perhaps he'll re-post?

Pics?

Pics?

Brian:

Are the pics of your product still on-line? If so, where would I find them? If not, will you be posting new ones?

Thanks,

Nick.
