Video Devices Pix E-7 Color Accuracy

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone used a Video Devices Pix E-7 or E-5? If so, what is the color accuracy like? I can't find much other information out there.

I own both. They are pretty good. I like them a lot.

7" is kept for the directors monitor.

5" is either used as an on camera DP monitor (love the playback, and the scopes can be handy), or sometimes as a standalone recorder hooked up to the 17" OLED Sony Agency Monitor.

Pretty terrific units... just waiting for them to make a 15" or 17" model....

Thanks for your response Ben. I'm glad to hear that you like them. I'm trying to decide between the Pix-E7 and the new Osee 7" monitor, which is quite a bit brighter and supposedly very color accurate. Video Devices says there's is color accurate as well, but I haven't heard much about it. Obviously they are different animals as the Osee isn't a recorder but I'm mostly thinking about the display right now.

Also, I checked out some of your work. Good stuff!
