  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can I place an order and purchase a unit yet?

Of course you can, by all means. Order and purchase your unit online...:) You will instantly own a beautiful, solidly built, slick, functioning, bug-free piece of electronic information in an email that tells you that you own one...sort of...:)))):cheers2:

Tony, i gather no-one wanted the under-powered mis-firing motors you had then? Have you gotten your new ones yet or the FEDEX numbers?

Nope - they didn't sell. Wonder why?! :smile5:

I haven't gotten anything yet. I'm sure Curt is busy in the lab... hopefully not making wireless Origos... :tongue_smilie:

Also had to return mine because they didn't work properly. That was almost four weeks ago. No idea when I will get the "new" ones back. My e-mails to Curt are never answered...

Patience is still required...

To all out there playing the waiting game for too long.... I'm glad to say that we are one of the "lucky" ones to have received our Inclino/Impero wireless FF system !! After more than a year's wait and threatening VF with giving us a total refund (which obviously seemed to help to shut us up) we have recently been blessed with what looks like a system that works... (still silently keeping our fingers crossed of course...until we have been able to do some proper field testing)

But man, what a journey it has been......

Wow... Nice TONY...
Edit:
Just Spoke to Marc (CEO PLC).
Now I'm waiting for Mr. Lee (PLC distributor in my area) call.
Can't wait to test drive this unit.

ive seen this as well and Iam amazed by it. Though I can see draw backs I think its a great idea. But anyone knows how much a system like this costs? Cause I can see this easily exceed 4000 together with a industry standard digi motor, IPHONE, and reciever.
last what about interference ?
To the guys also looking at the gyrostabilized head solution, that can end up to be a solution as iphone has accelerometer, inclinometer sensors and there are already combass programs for it.All left is a program to send info from the sensors and power different motors for different axis AAAAHHH inredible

The Redmote Pro 'follow focus' function only controls the nikon/canon and presumably RED electronic lenses.

I expect weekly updates from Curt now...after all he just said he won't be going quiet on us anymore. Been a week now Curt, what's the go?

Another week of silence from VFS's side... fortunately there are other sides!!!!

That iPod/iPhone lens control system looks pretty cool. I'd love to see a version of their controller that can connect to 3 motors. I suppose you could always use one controller per motor on the same camera and in the software just assign each controller as a different camera/letter -- as they showed multiple cameras A, B, C. Looks very good, but seems to a bit of lag.

Martijn - what number i queue were you?

I believe it was somewhere in the 50's..
Oh, and we've been waiting for 1 year and 7 months. Time flies...

So a few drawbacks I see with this i-phone thingy.
a- you are in the middle of a shot pulling iris with your i-phone and your mom calls you
b- you just finished a big round with the DP because of this screw up and you are pulling iris again and your mom calls again because thats what moms do dont they?
c - Now your are sweating because the DP punched you in the eye and apart of the fact that you cant see very well your fingers are wet of the sweat and they keep messing up the touch iphone pad giving this wonderful night and day efect on the DPS monitor and everyone is dancing to the rhythm and guess what? your mom calls again, cause thats what moms do,
So you through away your i-phone and smash it to the wall and when you get over the anger you realize that , that was a bad move so you try to see if it still works, and it doesnt so you give up. But all of a sudden guess what? the i-phone is ringing again , messes up the shot again while someone else is pulling iris on a preston, because you are sucked and have no job now, and the worst thing is that...its your mom again, cause thats what moms do they call you all the time , cause they dont care if you are rich or poor, unemployed or with a good job, they love you just the way you are...
That was a good short feature comedy scenario wasnt it hey?:sifone::laugh:
just to easup the wait.:reddevil:

We are building 15 motors to ship out. Firmware on the Imperos is still a little lagging, the last two features are turning out to be the hardest to implement and I'm only one person. If anyone has done embedded systems design using AVRs, programmed in C, has experience in motor control systems, is in the LA area, and wants to donate their time then I'm all ears. Otherwise I am working as fast as I can. I pushing to have this resolved by tomorrow.
