Well, we received our unit from Birger yesterday and I have to say, the Impero is a great piece of gear. This thing needs to succeed. I hear what you're saying Curt. I know how these things can hold up production, seemingly beyond your control. From someone who's worked in a similar business, a small suggestion. Outsource. If you don't feel you can bring in a partner to help pay for a second CNC machine, find another shop nearby to help you clear the backlog. The tone swelling through this thread is a danger to your business and I know how hard it is to see a different path when you've got your head down. Your products are so damn good, think of the longer term. Just my 2cw.

Shane, I've already started making adjustments. We pulled all tooling from Asia and are going to have them in our hands in a week or so. We are doing everything stateside now. Outsourcing has screwed us so many times that I would rather things take twice as long and control it in house rather than deal with the pain of wasted time/money working with another vendor.

Thanks for the suggestions though, I appreciate that you are trying to help. And thanks for the feedback on the Imperos.

As always Curt, thank you for getting some communication through. 20 units per weeks is not many at all and can see people in the 200's like i am waiting quite a few more months at least which is disappointing. But as i have mentioned before, i have waited so long and am still prepared to wait for it to get to me if it is 'right' so keep on pushing them through. But faaark, i really hope it's before christmas mate!

Quite frankly, to all the people getting worked up and quite venemous on this thread need to just...well...move on with their life both professionally and personally. Anyone wanting to find out about this gear only has to open the nearly 2500 posts and will get a very clear idea of where things are at. Opinions have been written and why oh why people keep coming back and spending more of their time 'flogging a dead horse' just astounds me. I open this thread up to see if Curt has posted any more news but have to shift through countless posts of the same stuff. All peoples opinions are welcome and provide good feedback on what to expect for potential new customers, but come on...just once is enough ok!

...........My guess is those riding the VF horse are indeed smoking something and in need of drink stronger than beer!

Thanks for tossing some light into a dark situation.

Good shooting and best regards,

Leo

Leo,

I know that its been a long wait for many however I'm certain that that those who waited will be very pleased. We have been testing this unit with the new motor which has operated flawlessly on a number of high end commercial campaigns. We've had it in a variety of situations from the crane to the easyrig, inside and out and we've been very pleased. We have used the system mostly in the wireless configuration and it's proven to be a valuable tool that's dependable. For those of you who waited, I don't think that you'll be dissapointed.

LEGENDARY FILM

I just received my case with two additional motors. My camera is currently out on rental so as soon as I get it back I'll try it out and report back. The first motor I got (beta-model) suddenly died on me, and I got a replacement motor about a month ago but had to return it because it was having problems working on something as simple as an Ultraprime, so Curt send me a couple of new ones that will hopefully be up to the task.

CVB,
Thanks, everything is working great !!!!
Look forward to doing future business with you.
Best Regards,
Woody

We have a working product now and we are shipping units on a weekly basis. I wont give shipping dates again as that only leads to more claims of us being misleading and fraudulent if we miss them...

This doesn't make sense! You used to give shipping date estimates when you didn't have a working and shipping product. And now that you finally have a working and shipping product you don't? It should be the other way around, shouldn't it?

Just noticed a three motor set is up for sale on another thread...the units are not performing...doesn't sound very good. Wonder if these are old units...bloody hope so!
I did notice they are selling at todays prices rather than what would have been paid (i presume) when secured with deposit. But heh...i would too!

Hey Brigham. That three motor set is mine and the motors were delivered just a few weeks ago so I'm assuming they're of the latest batch of motors? All of them have the cycloid motor design. The kit is like new - only used it on one job. Well - half a job, actually.

Ok so I've received my unit. YAY!

Can anyone please tell me how they are mounting the motor and receiver?

Motor on the rods, either with the 15mm adaptor or without, just depends what rods are being used. Receiver, just using some velcro and putting it under the handle or on the side of the body. Once again, depends how much stuff is being mounted. I think I've heard others using some form of v-clamp or something and mounting the receiver on the top rods. For now though, velcro works for us.

May I ask what your serial number or order number is?

A Nano clamp would be an inexpensive option.
