  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

VFS Inclino, Imperio, Origo News ??

Guys, I am going as fast as I can... I am basically living here at the shop. I even have a cot. I'll send out the emails to the 1st 10 as soon as I am 100% confident that we can ship these out without any issues. Last week was the first chance we had to fire up the Final Inclino PCBAs and a couple things popped up that I hadn't seen before. I revised the Inclino boards and just got them in on Tuesday... The problems are gone now. New Impero boards with the Rs232 for external control (Birger etc) are running a bit late... I'll have them on Saturday. I know I promised this week. All in all I'm feeling pretty good about things, I think it will be Monday instead of Friday though.

Just don't die trying. Take a well deserved break and live to see your grandchildren. Sometime next week is fine by me.

(just kidding - of course you need your sleep - keep up the great work - but don't take forever)

Thanks for the news. Sounds good. I, like many, am confident you will deliver and understand this is no easy task. We're just eager, you're already playing with... (um, I mean working on it), well seeing, touching, using, tuning, etc.

Do rest ! (Yes I'm worried you work too hard ;-) It will only make you work more efficiently.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of anticipation - is there? Last week Curt said that they would ship Monday instead of Friday and I haven't heard anything else since, so I'm just wondering if today's the day :-)

Check to make sure the GPIO setting for the input is "ACTIVE LOW" and that the output is "ACTIVE HIGH". Also make sure its not in timelapse or varispeed mode. If that doesn't' fix it then is there any way you can test it with another camera? We have see a number of cameras where the GPIOs aren't working correctly. One situation this last week we had an origo on one camera working fine then moved it to another camera and it didn't work. Put it back on the first camera and it was still fine. If it is on our side we will send a replacement but if its on red's side then you'll have to send the camera in for repairs to get the problem fixed.

Tested on another Red (tnx Valde) my Origo is working flawlessy. GOing to fix the GPIO on my Red as soon as the "european" Red office will be ready for my number.

Regarding the Birgerized Impero, how us, Birger clients, are going to be scheduled?
 
Does anyone know how the situation are on new orders on Imperio Standard/Inclino/Red Motor Package? If you order today when will you recieve?

Also used Origo on one shooting. Works great, beeps a lot though.

As far as I know, Andy Lesniak's mount has no wireless functionality and so can't be controlled with an Impero.
