Okay, final verdicts!!! Were the Vazen 1.8x anamorphic lenses any good? I've been primarily looking at the Laowa Proteus 2X lenses as I have the Laowa FF expander already and full frame Atlas Orions are still there in the mix but the full frame Vazens seem to look okay and sound like a nice value. Thoughts?

The full frame 1.8X were/are stellar optics. Myself and Mark Toia owned a set and shared images and notes for a while. Mechanics and build quality could have been better, but they did a nice job on the image, coatings, flare, and optics in general. The 50, 85, and 135 is slick. Just sad they didn't get a chance to make more.
