Hi Team,

I shot the new V-Raptor X this morning and selected EH to shoot some early sunrise test footage. The false colour in the monitor looked great, and I recorded 20min on one card before switching to another one.

I shot in 8K/60, ISO 800, R3D MQ

Now, I downloaded the files and they are all listed correctly at roughly 4.17GB per .R3D file. I then tried opening them in REDCINE X, RED PLAYER, Resolve and Premiere with no success.
REDCINE X & RED PLAYER had no response when trying to import/drag files.
Resolve shows no response when trying to import media
Premiere showed the "unsupported/damaged file" prompt

After I tried the list of programs above with no success, I then ran RED UNDEAD. The terminal ran and showed that the files were processed and saved but described as "KOMODO". I tried running those processed files but still had the same results I described above. Does anyone know of any solutions I might be able to try, or would like to receive a few files and try some tricks you might have up your sleeve?

I'm guessing there are a few possibiilites:
1: There is a beta of RED CINE X not listed to download yet.
2: The files are damages and RED UNDEAD is not able to recover them.

Thanks team

Update:

I can open and process files in the RED CINE X beta (completely missed that it was available when I was on the RED Download site). So now I can start processing the footage but and interesting thing is that I couldn't just put the cards back into the camera and watch playback. The camera would load the clip but wouldn't play it.

A few people who already got the camera are missing the rather large beta note on Extended Highlight Mode.

V-Raptor X Global Shutter and Phantom Track work in "everything" as of now. Extended Highlights requires 3rd parties to implement the SDK, which hasn't happened yet.

REDCINE-X PRO does work with Extended Highlights, but you need the beta version.

Go to https://www.red.com/downloads

Type "beta" in the search, and you'll see RCX for whatever Operating System you are using.
