  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

V-mount Battery Chart

I'm surprised that people aren't using the iKan v-mounts. I've had a set for three years are they are as dependable as anything else I've ever used. And the large LED readout makes checking power left and number of charge cycles a snap.

Hi there

I have 100+ of this batteries in every size and mount. They work just fine in the rental environment. Inexpensive.

Hope it help.

Is anybody familiar with the Rolux V-mount batteries? They are very affordable, and the bigger ones -such as the 230wh- has a build in LCD screen with info.

I'm only wondering if it gives you a time remaining reading on the Red?

Did some cleanup on the spreadsheet today, and split it into two tabs, one for 100WHr and below and one for above since they tend to be different uses. (Airline regs only allow for 100WHr but you can get better density / runtime with bigger batts)

Thanks for everybody that's added info to the spreadsheet, it's become quite a useful resource thanks to your help.

Here is info on the battery: http://www.dynacore-battery.com/productshow.asp?id=223

I don't know what the official pricing will be but I got them for about $200 each, and the charger for $450.

$200? A quick google is showing me double that price. Damn you Bob for getting my hopes up, as I was all over those until I saw the listed price. ;)

I offer my thanks as well. I also just fixed an error on the 130wh IndiPro on the second tab (specs and price were incorrectly duplicates for the 95wh).

Thank you. Strange how the product shown is the DS series, while the specs are the newer DM series. Which did you receive?

OMG, I didn't note the DS difference. I will confirm once it's delivered. On a second look, I would want to assume its just picture error since product description states "DM-155S V-MOUNT MINI BATTERY"

What is in the shipping invoice is "DM-155S
Dynacore 155Wh V-Lock Mini Battery"

I want batteries with the least problems when flying. Is under 100Whgood for trouble free travel?

I know TSA and FAA regulations well within the US and under 100wh means you can fly with unlimited quantities in your carry-on. Unsure about international.

Wonder how much power drain a Raven will cause with just viewing the LCD display and without recording.

Typical situation: waiting for wildlife - birds, mammals mostly - with pre record active an hour or more and pressing REC when the animal arrives.

Users report e g 1h15m battery time with Switronix 85Wh. I suppose they mean recording time. But with just viewing?

Thanks.

I see that Switronix have V-mounts 85Wh even have A "TSA-friendly" sticker. Should be good for International also, shouldn´t they?

The Switronix Hypercore Slim RED 82WH seems to be ideal for nature and wildlife ...

Raven's power draw is the same whether recording or not—about 60W, same as with most reports of the DSMC2 cameras. One of the disappointing things about an otherwise stellar camera... I had hoped that the less capable specs would mean lower power draw. Oh well... still a great camera system.
