Questions.

What exactly was plugged into it at the time of the drop out.

Have you closely inspected the HDMI port on the camera? Anything in there thats weird?

Have you managed the output vie the menus?

What are you viewing the signal on?

Hey Phil :) yes i was just about to amend the above to say that it was last successfully used with new teradek bolt pro 300 (via the hdmi). No sudden drop out. I then packed it down at end of day with no issue. No hdmi cable accidentally ripped out or anything. a week later is just isn't working.

I have used the small hd dp4 & a lilliput monitor to check so far..

Yes i have enabled the hdmi in the menu, ie. settings/display/monitor controls and then in the brain hdmi i have the clean, 1080p, 50hz. I previously didn't have the option to enable the HDMI initial when i first noticed the problem as the enhanced AF was turned on causing the menu to grey out, but since turning that off i have the hdmi monitoring options back, but no result as far as getting the signal out..

hd-sdi is still working (i have conencted to samurai recorder).

72-p or the Hz settings haven't seemed to make a any change. I did full exit the menu (to test). is there a HDMIO enable setting? i see there is one under monitor control for the hd sdi.

2 things that have fixed it in the past for me:

1) Booting the camera with the HDMI cable attached and monitor ON.
2) Reversing the HDMI cable. (Some are unidirectional)

Yeah tied that too now Gavin. The hdmi monitor i'm using is definitely working, i can get a signal to it originating from the epic's HD-SDI port to the bolt receiver via its conversion to hdmi.

I hate to say it but chances are you're going to have to send it in. I've had to send in my scarlet 3 times for HDMI issues and when I upgraded to the Epic I've had to send it in once. Each time it was still under warranty and didn't cost me anything. I feel like the HDMI board on these cameras is fairly weak.
