Hi ,

need expert help.

2x128 gb SSDs were formatted on an Epic and shot once over it.
We realized the footage was not copied earlier. Is there a possibility to recover that footage ?
I know it can be if its just formatted, but here camera operator went one step over and recorded on top of it.

So the SSD was formatted and recorded once, is there a way or has it ever been recovered before ?
Anyone ever been in this situation and come out of it successfully.

Please help me out,

Thank you,
Aaranyan

If you filled up the cards you are likely out of luck, however if you recorded like one shot or something you can try RedUndead. That's about it.

If you are formatted and over write on it, there is very difficult to get back the footage. But if you are not over write on it, you can recover the file.like Phil said .............

good luck

We've run Redundead for local students before who didn't have a Data managing keeping after the footage and have had great success (recovering as much as 80-90% of the clips). Honestly, having recorded over it, prepare yourself to have lost at least 20-25% of your footage if you're lucky. Otherwise you'll need to send the cards to a recovery specialist who may or may not recover anything and run you a few thousand $$

I have used this recovery software in the past and it works very well. If the Data areas were not overwritten then the data is recoverable. If it was then likely the data is not since this was SSD and not mechanical. If they did not fill both SSD's completely then there is a good chance atleast some data was not overwritten.
