So my EPIC is hooked to a Cube 120 via SDI. I have proxy recording and NFS etc. set up on my Macbook, and it works fine. I hit 'record', a proxy appears on my NFS drive and it plays. Great. Amazing!
But no sound on proxies. Silent. R3Ds record sound perfectly. So where to start?
- Does EPIC in fact send sound out over SDI?
- Am I missing a setting on EPIC to *tell* it to send sound over SDI?
- Am I missing a setting in Teracentral to tell the proxies to record sound? Or to process sound coming in from SDI?
- I found the menu in Teracentral which offers sound choices: SDI/Analog/Disabled. I tried SDI, and Analog (despite the fact that no analog sound cable is connected!) but neither has any effect.
Am I missing something? SHOULD this work? I've put an after hours call into RDC tech support, awaiting callback, in case the problem is at the EPIC end, but I need to figure this out by 8AM EST :cryin:
Anyone awake who knows this stuff???
Thanks!
Mike
